First, we are going to need some of your help!
Pond placement is key, multiple things factor into choosing the correct spot, but most importantly it's up to you! After you've carefully reviewed your placement, we will give you consultation and advise.
Step 1: Choose and Mark desired location:
Start by deciding on the location to build your pond and unpacking your gear. Using a rope, garden hose, or even spray paint we Mark out the area to help you visualize your pond layout. Once decided on the shape you like, decide where your waterfall will be if you want one. A waterfall located at one end of a slightly curved pond will gently push the water toward your skimmer or pump for circulation and filtration. Round ponds or those with many coves or inlets may have areas of little circulation, which will require extra waterfalls, fountains, or pumps to move the water and prevent it from stagnating. Keep in mind and be sure your waterfall will be turned towards your most common viewing area.
Diamond Koi provides the all of the right equipment to get your pond installed as quickly, and efficiently as possible. Although our equipment makes the digging process move quickly, we are still old fashioned and always use a shovel and provide the final touches.
We provide filters, pumps, and liners all tailored to your specific desires and with an economic price. The Equipment is installed before finalizing the deed, and adding water to ensure everything will run and operate as needed.
First we place the pump, install the piping and hoseing necessary underground, and run it to our efficient bio-filter system, which is also dug and placed in-ground leaving only the lid uncovered for easy maintenance. We ensure no leaks are possible, and then add water.
When adding water to any water feature, especially a in-ground fish pond, you should always allow the foundation time to settle and pack before adding any life. While filling up the pond, this is usual when we come in with our water boots and place any decor, driftwood, plant life, or fountains you desire.
Every installation comes with a selected fish package just for you. After your foundation has had the time to settle, we will come back in roughly 2-3 business days to perfect any final touches, and add your fish life!
